The Murder List by Hank Phillippi Ryan
Innocent or Guilty!
A fine line that hinges on...Truth.
Sounds simple enough, until you ask the question.
Whose truth?
Prepare yourself for the pandemonium shift in mind frame
that this question will unleash.
In The Murder List,
author Hank Phillippi Ryan rips
apart at a lot of our preconceived thoughts about the justice system.
With a mastery honed by being an award winning investigative
journalist, Hank takes us on an exhilarating
journey of survival.
A journey that pinpoints how everything boils down to our
decisions, actions and consequences.
“How quickly a life is changed. How quickly freedom is lost.”
A legal thriller cum murder mystery, the book follows the
life of upcoming lawyer Rachel North,
who is quite literally married to the defence and interned with the DA. Talk
about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
It is this triumvirate that keeps us on our toes, forever
questioning each and every step they take. It is here that the book just shines
and shines, the legal and logical banter between the characters stimulates you
to another level while also giving you a look at the state of our justice
system.
“Guilt is a complicated thing”
A multi-tiered book that on one level is a murder mystery
that keeps you questioning the definition of truth and on the other is a
complex story of love and betrayal in all facets of our lives.
This book really gripped me and had me wanting more. I would
definitely love to read a sequel to this and think this would make such a
lovely movie.
Happy Reading☺
